For a Flatter Belly, Never Drink This Alcohol.

Tacos and margaritas may satisfy cravings. Keatley recommends limiting this popular drink if you're attempting to lose weight this summer.

"Margaritas can be particularly detrimental to weight loss efforts for several reasons," he explains.

First, this drink is usually loaded with calories. Tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and sugar or simple syrup make margaritas.

These components make a high-calorie drink. "Sweeteners and mixers add 300+ calories."

Sugar may cause a variety of health problems, including weight gain, since your body transforms extra sugar into fat.

If you're dieting, alcohol is also a worry. Alcohol reduces fat burning. "Your liver processes alcohol before fat."

This is particularly concerning given margaritas' huge serving sizes. "Margaritas are often served in oversized glasses, which means you might be consuming more calories than you realize."

"A large margarita can equal a meal." Yikes! Need a new signature drink...
