Following the first day of practice for the Monaco Grand Prix, Nico Hulkenberg referred to driving an F1 car of the current specification as "unbelievable" in Monte Carlo.
The two practice sessions on Friday were the German's first exposure to the current generation of cars on the streets of the principality after missing the event for the previous three years.
It's moving really quickly now, he noted. "I had never driven this new generation car around here before.
It was probably the fastest vehicle I've ever driven in this area, and that was only on a Friday. More will be revealed tomorrow.
Hulkenberg had a mixed day after brushing the wall in Free Practice 1 and briefly receiving a red flag.
He recalled, "I just clipped that wall sticking out of the wall and immediately found a good rhythm, I was feeling fairly happy."
