Le'Veon Bell, a former running back for the New York Jets and the Pittsburgh Steelers, claims that during his NFL career, he smoked marijuana prior to some games.
"That's what I did," Bell said on the "Steel Here" podcast from Barstool Sports, which was released on Friday.
"Bro, I smoked when I was playing football. I would smoke even before the games, then run for 150 yards and two touchdowns.
Jersey Jerry then enquired, "In the NFL?" Jerry and Kevin Adams are the podcast's co-hosts.
"Yeah," responded the 31-year-old Bell, who hasn't participated in league play since the 2021 campaign.
While playing for the Steelers, Bell received two NFL substance abuse suspensions for his transgressions.
He started his professional career in Pittsburgh in 2013, where he went on to become one of the most dynamic and effective players in the league.
