The NBA Finals were just a fraction of a second away from the Heat.
But with just two-tenths of a second left, Derrick White, the Boston Celtics' inbounds passer on the decisive possession,
was able to put back Marcus Smart's missed jump shot as the final buzzer sounded, giving the Celtics an incredible 104-103 victory in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
The Celtics are now one victory away from becoming the first NBA team to recover from a 3-0 series deficit and the series will return to Boston for Game 7 on Monday night.
Teammate Jaylen Brown remarked that Derrick White "came out of nowhere like a flash of lightning and just saved the day, man."
It was a remarkable series of events, all of which eerily mirrored what happened in Game 7 of this same matchup on this same court almost exactly one year prior.
